Peter Bond

With over 25 years of professional experience, more than three million physical units sold, and over 40 million streams as Producer, Engineer, Mixer or Performer, Peter Bond has worked on a number of diverse projects, including Gold and Platinum albums for Liona Boyd, Pavlo, Jesse Cook, Charlotte Church, Canadian Idol, PBS, CBC and many others. Peter Bond has spent a lifetime in music-making since building his first synthesizer at the age of ten and taking up the guitar soon after. He studied electronic music composition at Queen’s and went on to complete a degree in Music Production at Full Sail University in Orlando in 1993. Peter's original music has appeared in commercials, films and documentaries.
Peter began working with Liona Boyd in 2002 mixing her Juno-nominated, Camino Latino album. Peter’s work with Liona now has over 20 million audio streams. His latest work with Liona Boyd is her album “This Thing Called Love” featuring many collaborations including Mark Masri, Olivia Newton-John and Ronnie Hawkins. In 2023 he produced Liona’s album of cinematic Instrumentals “Once Upon A Time” which was praised for it's "Beautiful melodies and production" by film composing legend Vangelis and "Haunting and lovely" by celebrated director David Cronenberg. Liona’s Latin dance influenced album L.O.V.E. was released in 2022 and featured singer Amanda Martinez. Seven Journeys, released in 2009, which he wrote and performed with Liona is a record that was hailed by film director Deepa Mehta as "Hauntingly beautiful music emanating from a timeless realm".
The PBS special “A Winter Fantasy”, was first broadcast in 2018 on PBS flagship station WNED and affiliates in the US from coast to coast and will continue air on PBS stations in December during the holidays through 2024 with over half a million viewers; he produced the soundtrack and co-produced the film itself, which was also featured on the CBC GEM streaming service. The album "A Winter Fantasy”, produced by Peter was released in 2014 and now has over a million streams. Liona's 2013 album "The Return: To Canada With Love”, produced by Peter, was recorded in Montreal, Florida, Toronto and mixed at Metalworks and The Rose Room, this album featured collaborations with Dan Hill, Jann Arden, Daniel Lavoie, Mark Lalama, Ron Korb and many others.
Peter’s other work includes the album Into The Fire by the band Smith & Dragoman which was released in 2022, an epic progressive world music album featuring many notable musicians.
